Dammit... Investor Relations

i didnt find much on investor relations in hedge funds. wondering if one can ever move out of investor relations at a large hedge fund? if one knows and understands different HF and CTA strategies, could one move as an analyst at another hedge fund/CTA? what about a top business school if one cant get out of IR? any thoughts would be great.

drexelalum11 you are clueless. You obviously have no clue how crucial IR/fundraising is to the success of a hedge fund. The most amazing investor in the world isn't worth a dime if he can't get money in the door.

You wanna hedge risk? Risk comes from not knowing what your doing.

I have seen guys moving from finops to trading at well-known funds. Pretty sure it is possible with IR as well, and you could do that even without a B-school.
