I believe he's talking about https://www.ft.com/content/fe5a615a-da52-11e9-8f9b-77216ebe1f17</a">this article regarding the compulsory non-competes that most all employees were forced to sign by last Sep.(or were threatened with termination). Even though they denied it, I think it had everything to do with fear of Michalow poaching their PMs (the timing was a little bit more than coincidental IMO).
It doesn't say its a life-time noncompete though

Not much. The Hyderabad office has pretty low standards and they don't even hire from top colleges in India.
