If by HF opportunities you're referring to general corporate L/S equity/credit, I'd imagine it'd be a steep uphill battle. I've never seen anyone make that kind of move. If you're referring to RE asset / CMBS / REITs investing at a hedge fund that does that kind of stuff, that seems much more likely
200k as an analyst?? Is that the norm for these shops
He could be like a Analyst level __4_ or something. I am level 1 at my company and looking at 70-100k depending on our bonus. So if he stayed there for a few years and didn't change his title they may just be giving him pay raises.
