Directional L/S Europe
After Adelphi turned into a “family office”, fosse and hengistbury slimmed down apparently (correct me if wrong), AKO and Egerton have had a brutal ytd, are there any directional L/S shops left in Europe that a) grow and/or b) have started in the past couple years? The market outside the big platforms seems to have evaporated.
Nope. Pelham also down big. Not sure how TCI is doing. Last I heard they were down but they’re also net long. The directional L/S model is dying globally.
Pelham allegedly shut the Financials fund/business. TCI has enough AuM and a LT track, hiring just so rare on more senior level.
Yeah there aren’t any decent ones. If you don’t want to go to a pod, you could always try for one of the big global ones with offices here - likes of Elliott or DK. If not it’s just LO.
Heard Kintbury is doing well
Market neutral and ex millennium, isn’t it, so makes sense.
Ah you're right mb, although technically "low net" as per their website.
