This won't be hugely helpful, but I just read Soros massively increased his position in Tesla's convertible debt recently. Also, highly recommend the Petition11 newsletter for distressed info.

"LaNoob" I think the key question is how can I find current/future distressed credit investment ideas?

It’s not hard to find ideas...look for companies with really high debt/EBITDA, debt trading with double digit yields / below $80, etc...

It’s just like any other kind of investing - just because something trades at 3x EBITDA doesn’t make it cheap and it’s not necessarily expensive because it trades at a 40x PE. the hard part is developing the thesis as to why it’s mispriced and there’s no formula/ratio for that.
