Euro dollar mid curve options
I was recently asked to sketch some trade ideas using euro dollar mid curve options in a hf interview. I said something vague about using them to take a view on forward vol of LIBOR. ANyone have better ideas? Who trades these and how ?

I trade them occasionally, when/if the mood comes upon me. Why didn't you just suggest something simple like buying calls/puts to express a simple macro view (rates going down/up)? Using that as a starting point, you could get increasingly sophisticated and do things like conditional steepeners/flatteners, yada-yada. Basically, sky's the limit, really...
