Event driven strategies and investment projects. Discussion forum

Hi, guys. Anyone does active trading and investments for longer periods, also hedge fund managers?.. If you do, I think we have a perfect opportunity and location to discuss them here and now.
I have an idea: since Trump's coming to power and being elected as a President of USA on November 5th is fairly certain, I have a couple of event driven strategies related to this event. Trump mentioned on multiple occasions and podcasts recently that he is planning to cut Energy prices in half ( by 50% ) in USA in the period of `1 year or less after taking office ( January 2025 ). Energy prices, which are Oil and Gas, directly relate the profits and revenues of Energy companies selling these products in the market. In USA there are multiple such companies, such as Exxon, Devon, Chevron, Hess and so on. Reduced profits and revenues result in decreased price per share since investors and general public loses confidence in these companies based on their earnings announcements. Maybe it would be worth shorting some of these companies for a longer period ( buying puts on them ) for example for the end of 2025, or the end of 3rd quarter of 2025.

Also Donald said he is going to terminate construction of out of land green energy projects like wind turbines and so on. Maybe it would be worth going short on them.

Also, Trump mentioned on multiple occasions, that he is going to stop war in Russia & Ukraine in one day. Let's say it happens, let's say probabilistically in March or April. So the world supply of Gas and Oil will increase dramatically very quickly after this event. Supply and Demand equilibrium will be broken across the world, therefore the Energy prices will go down. Oil and Gas will become much cheaper.

So, it might be a great idea to start selling futures on Crude Oils and Gas for the end of Quarter 3, Beginning of Quarter 4 next year ( expected decrease in prices ).

As I trade extensively myself on exchanges, and I enjoy and excel in these kinds of event driven strategies, I would like to hear your opinions on these ideas and strategies for the next year. Maybe you find them super useful, maybe not, maybe you have some better developments in these strategies, or you have completely different & alternative investment strategies. I would love to hear them !
