Family Offices and HF Seeders

Say you're a fairly young analyst trying to raise anywhere between $10mm and $100mm on the incredibly optimistic side for a hedge fund launch. Does anyone have any recommendations on websites or services through which to find family offices or allocators that would seed an emerging manager? Assume a 3-year track record on PA, with the goal of the raise to be to create another 3-year track record running outside money.

Don't bother. You'd be wasting your time.

Get to PM, build your 3-year track record at a reputable firm, then start thinking about raising capital. Also, there is no website or directory where you look up prospects. You build your own network, one contact at a time.

IDK of any family office that looks for emerging managers, but it's happening at some of the larger pension funds. You'd need to have a great pedigree, be a URM, or both.
