Yeah, I think so too. They recruit for teams separately, and fwiw there's a recent thread about this. I'd argue however that Elliott is pretty siloed as well, though not clear whether only at PM level or below as well. Also the way they silo teams is weird (there's tech activism, there's distressed, there's non-tech activist, etc.).

I know BainCap Special sits in Europe has a similar mandate, even if not an HF. Blantyre (still Europe) and I think Cyrus, DK too

Third Point is siloed at the junior level from their org structure chart but the reality might be different i.e juniors working where the opportunity is. Can any one chime in here?

None of the names mentioned actually fit the mold: Baupost has separate teams for LO, event equity, distressed etc. Farallon, Elliott, and third pt also have separate teams. Third pt I'm not as positive on but others yes.

Redwood is true across cap stack. Greenlight. Will edit if more come to mind
