FoF analyst vs Prop Trader out of UG?

I am a recent grad, and have a lined job at a large, but not household name FoF in Boston. The job is like a buyside analyst, but is all manager selection / LP investing, not co-invest.

I am in the interview process for a prop trading firm /market maker as a trader (Think optiver).

My long term goals are to work at an HF, ideally MM

I started looking for other jobs as it seems difficult to move to direct investing from a FoF. However this prop trading job would probably be a complete 180 from what I'm used to, as I have no experience in the field.

Any thoughts or advice? I haven't gotten the prop trading offer, and would have to reneg on the FoF
