Go start a SPAC…

If you can't beat them, join them. Instead of complaining about misalignment of incentives and wack governance structures w/ SPACs and subsequently wanting to short them…just make it your goal to start one. You read stories about folks (not just middle-aged/ 20+ years in the industry, but also relatively young guys) starting SPACs in the $100-200mm+ range. Sponsor gets 20% of that…just to find a company to take public in the span of 2 years. Go work for 7-10 years, and then go launch a SPAC. Then you can either retire at age 34 or do it again and again.

Alright but I'm not sure that the SPAC hype will still be there in 7-10 years

This aged well. Wonder how those 20/30 year olds are doing now. So hard to raise a SPAC unless it's AI focused and even then who knows
