Hedge Fund Accounting
Hi All - I’m currently employed at Blackrock working on hedge fund accounting and am looking for my next move. I’ve been here 2 years, been a controller at a small hedge fund for 5 years and been a manager at Deloitte for 4 years. As I look for my next job it seems the pay is about 200-250k while working close to 12 hour days. The comp doesn’t really fit the amount of work we do. Should I try to change industries or is there more money in a different role? I don’t think I can get front office but where should I target?
