Hedge Fund Job Advice
I recently had an interview with a long/short deep value fund. The team is fairly small (think 10) and I had an interview with their PM. The interview was entirely behavioral/fit. Towards the end, he told me that I can shadow their analysts for a day to get a feel of what they do on a daily basis.
I understand that there isn't a structured interview process for hedge fund analyst positions but I wanted to make this post because I'm curious where this process could move on from this point and how I can maximize my chances at getting a job at this fund.
What is your background? The best course of action will depend on how close you are to graduating (assuming you are in school, which it sounds like you are).
Congratulations. If you don't mind my asking, how did you get the interview?
