Hedge Fund Reasearch Internship HELP!
What do you think about pursuing this internship at Russel Investments. I have to go in for an interview soon. I'm not sure if this is for a fund of funds, so any thoughts? Here's the job description below to get a better idea. Thanks for all your help!
The Hedge Fund Research staff conducts research of hedge funds for a number of new Russell fund products with different liquidity requirements and investment objectives. The goal of the research team is to develop a list of high-confidence '4-ranked' managers with varying investment styles that can be included in various portfolios and to review existing managers to ensure that fund rankings do not become stale. This intern's main responsibility will be to maintain the AIM database for the New York hedge fund research analysts.
The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:
* Create new records in AIM for both managers and underlying funds.
* Link select contacts, including contact information and work histories, to relevant accounts, and cross-reference with other records as appropriate.
* Upload all research information to accounts and funds, including <span class='keyword_link'><a href="/resources/skills/deals/pitch" target="_blank">pitch books</a></span>, investor letters, DDQs, offering memoranda, audited financials. Such information may be added to AIM monthly or quarterly for medium-interest managers.
