My buddy tells me that beyond Credit Suisse and Gavea, there aren't really any other Hedge Funds worth mentioning in Brazil. Is he right? What sort of products are they trading? Mainly interest rates and FX would be my guess.

Pretty much all long short directional hedge funds....CS Hedging Griffo is more absolute return and tends to do 10-12% pa whereeas the others more closely track/outpeform the Bovespa...the teams at Leblon, FAMA and tarpon are all reasonably impressive.
