HF Comp 2-3 Years out of College
I’ve been working at a NYC multi-manager HF for the last 2 years after graduating college, upper end of my comp range is around 400k (all in), about 2/3 of that is bonus. What’s the average comp range for HF analysts 2-3 years out of college?
Strat?
probably equity long/short
200-700k. Wide range but that’s the answer for middle 80%.
There are 24 year old pod analysts making $700k? Like you have heard that scenario?
People typically start out between 250-400 depending on the strategy. The more quant heavy the more money. So I would say 200-700 isn’t unreasonable in 2-3 years.
My response was not MM specific, it was HF analysts, though I’m sure some MM analysts clear that figure. I know multiple HF analysts who made above 700k in their 3rd year out of undergrad. Not that uncommon tbh
I am surprised. So it must be common for folks to get 3+ mil with 10 years post undergrad.
