HF Comp backend roles and career ops -> NYC and London

Have been hitup by some finance recruiters to join hedge funds in NYC and/or London. Have citizenship in both, so work auth not an issue.

10+ years in tech as a dev and manager. Still open to hands on roles.

Seems alot of the roles I have been sent are for building/combining lots of data feeds etc. Also some research but I understand that less. I think proper HFT trading less so (I had an internship for that in college but don't know enough I imagine).

Curious what comp I could come in at, expect to grow to, and career options for engineers. It does sound like a new challenge compared to tech, which is exciting.

Company types considering: Hedge funds, asset managers.
