HF FoF (Canadian Pension Fund)
Have an interview this week for essentially a HF FoFs position, struggling to come up with a cogent story as to why FoFs now (previously spent a year in ER) other than the cliched 'I love a mixture of quantitative and qualitative analysis and love people....' Any thoughts would be of great help!
Is it a pension fund or FoF? While they may sound similar at one level, it is very different. Remember a pension fund both direct invests and allocates to HF managers, but they have a different mandate, risk targets, they don’t have the similar pressures (fee pressure on FoF industry, etc). Coming up with a story for pension fund is different than why FoF.
