HF Internship > Undergrad Senior > HF(?)

I recently landed an internship with a Macro HF. The whole process of networking my way into the internship was one of the greatest experiences I've had in school....but now I have to worry about what comes next. It was made pretty clear during my internship pursuit that the majority of funds hire on an "as needed" basis and don't line up an analyst "class" 9 months in advance like banks. Since I've gone a different route than a lot of my classmates (IB internships at Medium, Boutique, or BB Banks) I will most likely be heading into my Senior year without a job offer lined up after graduation. While I want to end up at a HF over the long-term, I'm trying to get a handle on what my best move is after this internship. Ideally, I would like graduate onto a path I can start walking immediately. The way I see it right now I have the following options:

1) Try and network my way into a full-time HF analyst position after undergrad. I see this as very unlikely and honestly I don't like the idea of stressing about a job all year and still face the possibility of having nothing.

2) Focus on networking and landing a job in Equity Research. I would have to network heavily since I'm not spending this summer at a bank and it was explained to me that ER typically hires on an "as needed" basis and when they don't they still take on smaller Analyst classes than IB.

3) Try and scoop up an empty position in M&A or ECM. I don't like my odds of getting in at a name brand bank and even then I would just be betting on banks needed to fill positions that they couldn't with their intern class.

Any comments on these ideas, pros/cons, additional options, or reality checks would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. Since I know this fund isn't looking to lock in a full-time hire a full school year ahead of time, would it still look bad if I network with the two other funds in our building/next door?.....Asking for a friend :D
