What are the signs that your HF is dying? Losing AUM is an obvious one but what happens after that and how can you know if it’s going to survive or die.

If you have to ask that question, it's dying.
If the founder has enough capital in it, the fund will "survive" and can turn into a family office if he/she so chooses, but the economics is not going to be attractive to you as there will not be management fee / incentive fee.
I am actually curious how family office juniors get compensated.
