I'm looking to do some reading to learn up on different investing styles employed by the funds. Any comprehensive (but relatively introductory) literature out there that you'd recommend?

Buffett hasn't written any books, but his letters to shareholders are arguably the best investment advice one can find. You can get them for free on Berskshire's web site. If you're interested in a biography, though, The Making of an American Capitalist is the undisputed best.
Buffett lists two books as his main influences: The Intelligent Investor by Ben Graham Common Stock and Uncommon Profits by Philip Fisher
A great out of print value investing book that will cost you hundreds of dollars on ebay, but you can probably find it at a few libraries in NYC (though it is unlikely they'll let you check it out) is Margin of Safety by Seth Klarman. He's an amazing value investor managing a several billion dollar hedge fund.
Margin of Safety is an excellent book but its price and scarcity probably cause Klarman's book to get more credit than it deserves. Still a great read though.
Read "The Essays of Warren Buffet: Lessons for Coportate America" compiled by Lawrence Cunningham. The greatest business book ever written, bar none. Lowenstein's biography of Buffett is excellent Any speeches by Charlie Munger If you are really interested in learning, google book recommendations by Charlie Munger and Warren Buffett
Joel Greenblat's books are always a good read
I think the Alchemy of Finance by Soros is worth a read just to get a better appreciation for reflexive situations
Common Stocks & Uncommon Profits by Phil Fisher The Aggressive Conservative Investor by Whitman is good if you are interested in hardcore value investing
I'm still waiting for Eddy Lampert's book haha (not holding my breath)
Hedge Hogging by Barton Biggs is a great read on the hedge fund industry, investment styles, etc. Very interesting book.
I'll second Hedge Hogging for an interesting, introductory look at hedge funds. It's geared for the non-finance person, but would not be a bad place to start.

'Investment Strategies of Hedge Funds' was a solid introductory book I read that delivers what the title promises. Introduces you to all the strategies out there, gives cursory info. It's a recommended textbook by certain hedge fund modules of MSc Finance programs of some top unis I've looked at, which speaks to its recognition
