HF Screeners

What are some of the "screeners" that HFs typically use to narrow down a top-of-funnel watchlist? Are these usually just valuation metrics? Obviously I know there's geo / mkt cap, but how specific does it get in terms of other filters? I know it varies by investment philosophy but any examples would be appreciated! Thanks!

You get everything across the board, primarily valuation compared to some historical levels, and maybe also for the stock nearing trading levels. Then there are some other more complicated screens that I have seen with degrees of importance on random metrics built by some alt research firms... not really in love with those screens. The most consistently effective idea generation process is to follow one industry closely, know the names in it, and build a mosaic or process for capturing inflections and perception changes.
