How can I best prepare for an operations internship at a small hedge fund?

Hi there, I'm a mathematics undergraduate in Singapore and will be embarking on an Operations Analyst internship in a small hedge fund (think 5 - 10) people - this will be my first "finance" related internship.

I am trying my luck if I can reach any people that work in Fund Operations that can advise me or recommend me any online courses or books I can pick up to better ease into the role - I want to perform well for the internship, and eventually assimilate into the role of a full-timer (it is a 6-months long, full-time internship). As the firm is really lean, I am expecting to need to wear a few hats and be up to speed with learning how they do things.

I am currently working on Capital Markets & Securities Analyst course by Corporate Finance Institute, but was wondering if there were any other courses or material that are more specific to a fund operations role.

He actually read the JD, resume, and looked up linkedin which sometimes other mentors doesn't actually go over those to prepare things beforehand. I appreciate his direct comments I think it saved time and actually helped me to know exactly where to improve. I also appreciated him admitting if he doesn't know about specific HF strategy. Only thing I'd suggest for him is probably sending actionable key takeaways after the meeting because other mentors did and that was very helpful. ”
