How honest are (MM) HF recruiters?

To what extent can a headhunter who recruits on behalf of (MM) HFs be trusted with regards to the following: - the current & historical performance of the pod or fund in question - the PM's actual feedback of me post-interview (assuming I was rejected) - whether he's circulating my resume among different funds against my consent

I wouldn't trust a recruiter with any of these things unless you already have an established long term relationship with them.

In terms of distributing CVs make sure you write an email that this CV should only be sent to firms XYZ and that the recruiter needs to get your written permission to send them somewhere else. If you have doubts ask them to send you an email in which they list all firms to which they have sent your CV and keep a record of this. With all those data protection laws you can cause a lot of trouble for them if they lie about this.
