How Important is Reading Comprehension?
I'm currently in LMM PE and want to take a shot at HF recruiting after my 2 years are up. In terms of personality and temperament, I think I would be a great fit. My concern is that it seems like there is a ton of reading that HF analysts have to do and reading comprehension and the ability to absorb lots of written information is key.
I never read books as a kid and have always been a slow reader with subpar reading comprehension. My fear is that if I do land a job, I would struggle everyday to keep up.
Might not be relevant today, but just as a benchmark, I got a 28 on my reading ACT while I got 34-36 on math, science and english.
Bump
I did sucky on the SAT reading, but I’m doing well at my fund, if that helps
I am not trying to be a dick (nor de-rail OP's thread), but your post history is almost entirely you not doing well at your fund. If that's changed I think your story might be well received as a turnaround type of post.
If you've made it this far you should be fine.
