Not sure you need more than 5 people to put together a 300 page slide deck. Not like they are trading in and out all the time.

They have 7 excluding Bill. They had recently hired a warburg PE analyst from the sweaty IBS group out of the end of her analyst program. They are hiring an 8th out of a MFPE analyst program as well (think KKR, BX, Silver Lake).
MFPE analyst programs exist? So working at PSH only 2 years out of UG?

Warburg PE wasn’t an analyst. Was at CVP for 3 years before joining WP. Then did 2 years at WP in IBS.

Well they have something like 2 billion dollars per IP. They returned 70 percent in 2020 and since bill ackman is a real chad im sure they'll keep making returns like that frequently. Assuming a 20 percent perf fee that gets u at 280 million dollars per IP. So yes everyone there is making 280 million dollars. Therefore 280 million here is the correct answer. Dont let anyone tell u otherwise.
We often hear that how less snobbish Hedge funds are when it comes to recruitment. Is it also true for activist hedge funds , like Trian ,Third point, Elliott , that they are less snobbish and care only about raw talent?
They usually recruit as needed. You can be the perfect candidate with the best resume but if they are not hiring during that year (they hire every 4-6 years) then you are out of luck so making Pershing Square your end goal is not smart. The best way to position yourself for an interview there is by doing 2+3 years (top bank + MFPE shop) or by doing 4-5 years at top MFPE (many analysts leave earlier since they get offers from other top HFs in their 2nd or 3rd year).
