How to prep for L/S Research Analyst role?

Hi! I currently have 2 years at consulting (MBB) out of undergrad, and am considering a potential role as a research analyst at a L/S HF focused in healthcare. I’ve done mostly due diligence projects here so am familiar with the process but never served publicly traded company so not sure how to best prep for this role. The JD keeps emphasizing that I will be spending a lot of time interacting with industry experts and calls, but would appreciate if someone can share some light on 1) What does Research Analyst’s typical day look like? Is it just expert calls and survey all day, or do we do any financial analysis too? Job description didn’t mention the latter so 2) What is the most strategic approach to prepping for this role? What kind of technicals am I expected to know? 3) Any helpful way to think about healthcare from HF perspective? I served them from consultant / PE capacity but not sure if HF approaches it with different angle 4) what is the typical expected comp for this kind of role and the WLB hours?
