IB --> HF // PE

I was planning on going the 2 year IB stint straight out of undergrad - currently a junior non-target interning at a boutique - but I am very interested in public equities and want to work on the buy-side and have a few questions...

Do I have a chance landing a buy-side internship summer of graduation (next year) or is getting into a BB IB the better path for me?

Is landing a PE role easier than landing at a HF? Do HF take a good amount of laterals from PE? If so, whats the usual timeline from PE analyst to a HF analyst?

I appreciate you taking the time to help.

Millennium/P72/Citadel take grads for FT. C/P do internships too, so apply to those.

You can go from PE to HF, you move when you're ready, when that is, is up to you.
