insights on marshall wace

I've seen quite a bit discussion on the L/S, such as the tiger cubs, and the multi-manager, such as point 72, millennium.

How about Marshall Wace? will you put them in the MM category? any inputs on the firm culture, etc.?

Broadly speaking, would lump them in with the top 3 MMs... though from what I hear they tend to have a bit more latitude in terms of taking risk, similar to how Baly tanks within those. This is just in one of their industry groups though, no idea if this carries over firm wide
