Investment Banking Intern Looking For Career Advice

Looking for advice on my current internship and how it will play out full time.

I will be interning summer 2023 at a large investment bank - only problem is the group doesn’t have a ton of modeling work and I am worried about where it can take me later in my career.

I previously worked at a HF in a non investing role, and have become quite interested in the space. Specifically I find the activist and macro spaces especially interesting (although I know they usually hire different backgrounds).

Thoughts on what I should do? - whether that be try and recruit for a different group at this bank or another one full time, sign on full time (assuming I get the offer) and hope to transfer groups, try to jump straight for HFs, or another option.

Any advice helps, I really appreciate it.
