Is Blackstone (BAAM) seen as a prestigious quantitative hedge fund?
Just as the title says, is Blackstone Alternative Asset Management (BAAM) seen as a prestigious quant hedge fund? How do they rank vs Citadel, Millenium, Point72, etc.? If you're a quant researcher, would you work at BAAM? Heard anything about working there?
BAAM isn't a hedge fund. It's a hedge fund solutions business. They run funds of funds, as in they invest in funds like citadel. Any quant analysis will probably be around portfolio analytics.
It doesn't operate like or compare to Citadel etc.
They actually do have a fairly large special sits hedge fund (directly investing themselves)
