Is coding or math classes more important for a quant internship?
I’m not great at math at all to be honest. I know I could put my head down and grind out the classes, but it’s not my specialty. Coding is much easier for me to follow along with. In general, do these banks and funds look for proficient coding knowledge over maths, or is it the other way around?
Both is the best and most maths degree include some coding now days
But I would say maths is more important as u Saïd it is harder and is more theoretical, suited to learn it in the university. Where as coding can easily be learned by practice on the job
If you like coding more, look into quant swe/developer roles
