My outside understanding is uber fast money shop (even for MM standard) with extremely diversified positions (but also tiny positions compared to other MM pods which is what allows them to be fast money) with a strong track record for many years. A couple guys I know there are on top of their game with tactical trading (betting on catalysts / sentiment reversals) but also relatively underwhelming when it comes to fundamental depth or LT thesis construction.

Concur. Reputation is almost like day traders.
everyone talks about their supposedly great returns (i see an old WSO thread on them too with multiple posters saying similar). how does that make sense then if they're just day trading?
If you pick up enough pennies, it adds up.
I went through recruitment process w then years ago and cross paths with them at conferences, from my outside view they don’t seem shorter term than other pods and seem to be more generous on pay and forgiving on drawdowns. Seemed like nice people too. I could be totally off base, long time ago and not much insight directly
