Let go. how to bounce back?

midlevel analyst let go from SM event fund after 1-2 years. situation caught me off guard. personal investment performance was strong, and fund beat benchmark L2Y.

pm is a bit of a personality though / has reputation for it in industry. fund also had outflows / watermark considerations. i think pm's style and mine just didn't mesh super well at the end of the day, and the pm perceived i was looking outside the firm (wasn't but had started to consider).

how to bounce back and position myself for success? don't want to be on sidelines too long so open to a range of ideas. thank you!
