Likelihood of getting an internship through emailing PM at big funds.
I'm a sophomore at non-HYP target (think Columbia, Dartmouth, etc.,) trying to get ready for junior summer.
I secured my soph-summer job at megafunds (think KKR, Carlyle, CVC Capital) in my home country in Asia as a PE analyst and had multiple jobs in McKinsey and Hedge fund that value invests.
I really do hope to get an investment analyst job at top notch fund straight out of undergrad and thinking of getting an junior internship at those places might help me to get there. So,,
I was wondering if I emailed to PMs at top notch funds (focus on school Alums), how likely am I to get a job I want.
