Agreed, but given the question I am skeptical that the OP is looking for a PM role.

For analyst recruiting I have found that a good recruiter can make a world of difference, but also the majority of recruiters are not trustworthy. My advice is to get a recruiter via a referral from a trusted colleague or friend. I don't think the firm matters so so much, but the biggest ones include Selby Jennings and Options Group

Is this a joke? Selby Jennings is a bucket shop. Never have any opportunities, hit you up on mandates all the time, if you’re ever bite they just try to ply you for intel on who’s hiring. They are less than useless. Especially their Phaidon offshoot, which is even worse. I had the “head of recruiting” there call me, pretend to be her own assistant, put her (herself) on the phone as if it’s POTUS calling me... it was so bizarre.
