London Macro Hedge Funds?

Hey all, I'm an incoming student in the LBS MFA program, and I am looking to do some cold outreach to possibly get an off cycle internship/coffee chat with folks at London global macro HFs. I have a list of a couple so far that I will attach below but I would appreciate any other additions. I have pods listed, but I'd like more color on SMs. Thanks!

Based on the most helpful WSO content, your list already includes many prominent names in the London global macro hedge fund space. To expand your outreach, here are some additional single-manager (SM) funds and insights:

  1. Man GLG - Known for its macro strategies and strong presence in London.
  2. TT International - A respected name in the macro and multi-asset space.
  3. Polar Capital - While not exclusively macro, they have teams with relevant expertise.
  4. Egerton Capital - Focuses on long/short equity but has macro elements in its strategy.
  5. Highclere International Investors - Specializes in small/midcap but worth exploring for networking.
  6. Schroders - A major player with macro-focused teams.
  7. Capital Group and Wellington Management - Both have macro strategies and are highly regarded in London.

For single-manager funds, networking is key. Many of these firms prefer hiring through referrals or direct connections rather than public postings. Cold outreach, especially with a well-crafted pitch or value proposition, can be effective. Additionally, consider preparing investment pitches or demonstrating your understanding of macroeconomic trends, as these are often part of the hiring process for such roles.

There's a good macro HF but I don't see it on your list.  Keep searching I'm sure you will find it...
