Long/Short Hedge Fund Recruiting
What are the best resources to prep for long / short equity recruiting (both pod shops and single managers)?
For reference, I’m currently at a upper middle market PE / credit fund (2 years out of school).
From my understanding of everything on this forum, basic prerequisites include 1) ability to work through 4 hour modeling tests, and 2) have a demonstrated interest in public markets investing with ability to talk individual names in depths
Looking to see if there are any specific case studies / tests (or training sites) out there? Ideally anything that is also good prep for on the job tasks/capabilities.
thanks in advance!
I think you have a good start. I would think the best thing is to just start investing on your own and/or with others and trying to make money in the markets. If you can do that, I think everything else would be secondary but just my simple, humble opinion. Good luck
Maybe also reading Value Investor Club pitches. Marketfolly. Major reading lists from the big l/s investors. Greenblatt’s books. Graham. Buffett. All that stuff may be helpful too.
Bump, Also interested.
