Meeting with Fund Manager
Hi WSO!
I have a great opportunity in front of me, and I would appreciate some tips on how I can make the most of it. I have an in person meeting scheduled with a rather legendary CEO of an investment firm whom I look up to, and I am wondering if anyone has any tips on how I can have it lead to a mentorship/internship at their firm. I want to mention that I am 18 and starting Uni this fall, but I feel like after spending 3 years self studying the markets, reading a ton of investment, economic, and financial literature, and managing a small account as of recently, I can have a decent conversation about these topics. Of course I still have a lot to learn, but I am not without knowledge when it comes to this.
What are some suggestions any of you might have that I talk about during our meeting? How do I convey that I am genuinely interested in learning from them and that I have a real passion for investing? If anyone was in this situation or had a mentor early on, I would appreciate your input.
Thanks!
