Megafund credit arms

Looking for info on megafund credit roles. Do analysts look at everything from CLO down to distressed/private lending at places like Apollo, Bain, etc? Or are analysts separated by sector with a separate distressed/special sits team.
Specifically interested in Apollo since I can see they're hiring for a few roles in credit. Postings mention that associates look at new issue, L/S credit, distressed. But do they also have a separate distressed group? Who takes ownership of distressed name in this situation? Associate within distressed group or associate within relevant industry sector?

Thanks.

Curious to hear what the culture is like for these MF credit platforms, compared to their buyout PE. Does Apollo’s credit arm have the same sweaty reputation as the rest of the firm? Is Bain Capital Credit’s culture as good as their PE? Would appreciate any specifics if anyone can share.
