Millennium equities analyst
Curious about Millennium’s equities analyst program. I’ve seen a surprising number of bottom quartile people from my school place there despite striking out in IB, S&T, and consulting recruiting.
Is the bar simply different from traditional front-office pipelines? Any color on comp and exits?
Some smart people some dumb people, same as every job
I've noticed the same too - was talking to someone who used to be in the program that said some girl got into the program after lying about attending Wharton for undergrad (she went to school in Australia and did a semester abroad apparently) and now even after placing onto a team there she's still a joke to other investors in her sector coverage.
Those that have left the program have since made it to other MMs and SMs, so seems that the exits are quite decent. Was told first year analyst salary starts at $150k with discretionary bonus
I've heard similar stories. Some girl ik lied about her internships, claiming she was an "investment analyst" when she was really in back office roles. Sounds like Millennium needs to tighten up their background checks
