MM HF Opportunity vs BB IB Opportunity

Current student here,

I have been thinking through some career options and thought I would hop on to see if I could get some constructive opinions.

My long-term goal is to work at SM/Tiger Cub HF. I'm interning at one right now (which doesn't hire out of undergrad) so at this point, I am pretty confident that this goal is something I want to pursue.

With recruiting season here, I have been fortunate enough to get offers from BB IBs as well as MM HFs. The predicament for me is which opportunity to pursue. If SM/Tiger Cub HF is the goal, will it be wiser for me to take a BB IB opportunity or the MM HF (Point72, Millenium, etc.)?

I appreciate the insight and thoughts!

If you want to do public investing AND are confident you can get a return offer take Point72/Citadels CAP program, if this is Millenniums program then take the BB IMO.

The academy/CAP actually prepares you great for working at SMs. All stock pitches in these programs are fundamental, absolute return pitches (not factor neutral). If you look at recent exits from these programs, many have gone to the "Tiger" Cubs.

You can always get a FT gig at a better place than a BB IB after the summer at MMHF. I know guys that did a summer there and then went to MFPE analyst programs and "EB"s after not getting a FT offer... I think this is a no brainer.

Edit: Took from ur other post and moved here.
