On Linkedin, I see a number of folks at the multimanager hedge funds. However, I see that they refer to themselves as "XXX management". Is there a difference between the pods with separate entity names vs the ones without? Something negotiated in their deal?

Interested as well. I see some MMs seed independent PMs to form their own fund. I wonder how this is different from just working in the MM as a PM.
I've seen this with Millennium pods, but I'm not sure if there's any special distinction. Are there other MMs that have pods with separate names from the parent?
I think it’s to differentiate teams ie if millenium has 5 teams trading industrial equities then it may get confusing with the sell side which team/pm your on. So instead of having that confusion they create a sub name for differentiation.
