Need Help - Hedge Funds Chicago
Looking to move into HF with little experience. Came from Corp Finance and want to find a company that will look to hire entry level. Any suggestions for companies to look at? Doesn't need to be the biggest or best. Just want to get into the industry and specifically in Chicago. I finish up school in December from a school that is nowhere near Chicago, so I'm a little concerned, but I have a backup offer from my internship there from the summer. I just want to find work I'm interested in which i know is in HF. Thanks.
These are the "Citadel cubs", some of them might be based in Chicago. Beware these are probably mostly low-net / market-neutral given Citadel lineage - make sure you are down for that style.
Gillson, Alyeska, Magnetar, and Kodai I know are Illinois-based.

Probably not a good use of my time, but I was categorizing every US hedge fund by webscrapping. I have a cut for MLP cub, P72 cub too, etc.

Any intel on Gillson Capital? Definitely falls under the Market-neutral L/S umbrella due to Citadel lineage. Know anything else about them?
