JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position involves working as a member of the portfolio management team to help facilitate the processing of equity and fx trades done on behalf of the accounts we manage at Arrowstreet.

The day to day tasks of the position include:

• Ensure that our daily trade communications with our back office service provider occur with accuracy and in a timely manner.
• Work with our back office service provider, brokers and custodians to resolve issues relating to trades that have failed, or are at risk of failing.
• Help to elect corporate actions; monitor and review to ensure that actions already elected have been processed.
• Assist our back office to resolve outstanding claims involving brokers and custodians.
• Act as a key contact between the ASC portfolio management team and our back office service provider.
• Assist with a variety of ad hoc projects impacting the portfolio management group as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The candidate must live within commuting distance of our office and be currently permitted to work indefinitely in the United States. The ideal candidate must have:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of financial services/business experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is a necessity.
• Some programming experience necessary: experience in VBA, VB, SQL, and Crystal Reports highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Factset and Bloomberg preferred.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure while meeting numerous deadlines.
• Ability to work in an independent, self-directed manner and to perform equally as well as part of a team.
• CFA charter or enrollment in the CFA Institute's CFA program is desirable.
