PE -> HF Sector Alignment?

Gents -- Currently received MF / UMM healthcare / consumer offers but in LT deadset on Tech L/S given previously at Tech IB and tracking tech names on my own. Does PE sector silo a candidate when moving from PE to HF after 1-2 years?

In theory no, but for TMT in particular I think the competition is quite high and there are enough candidates with TMT IB / PE experience that it's hard to break in from another sector in the current market. Much easier to move from TMT to something like Industrials. I think given the Tech IB background, that would help mitigate this challenge a bit for you, but you will need to keep on top of the space while in MF / UMM PE (easier said than done)
