Performing credit- exit opps?

Currently a research analyst in a performing/liquid/tradeable credit group. I’m in a pretty good seat but am starting to get a little bored of more or less “vanilla” credit analysis. I know I want something more challenging, but there are so many different strategies in credit (distressed, L/S, crossover, etc) that I’m overwhelmed with where to start in my search. Also based on what I’ve read on the forum, it seems like many of these roles value rx or levfin experience, which i don’t have. Still early in my career so feel like I’m malleable when it comes to training and open to learning new things. Any advice?
