phone interview. Negative sign?
Had a phone interview with a member of team and it was a very quick conversation that lasted 15 minutes about my background. He sounded very neutral, so it's very hard to tell if he's interested or not. At the end, he told me that the interview process is still ongoing and didn't mention when I will be expected to hear back. Just say thank you for your time in the end and then we ended the conversation. Is it a ding?
Not a ding necessarily - just a typical 'unicorn search' type interview. Realistically they're interviewing a bunch of guys and will get back to the ones that 'stand out'. If you get dinged they will likely not call you.
These types of things are tough because it is often a "unicorn search' with no objective criteria. Not getting a call back isn't even a 'ding' IMO, b/c its entirely likely you did nothing wrong.
