Pitching 9-12 month investment to MM?

How long is too long of an investment horizon for the big MM pod shops?

I have a strong 9-12 month pitch but I’m worried that it may be too long of an investment horizon. Is the general rule of thumb to pitch a thesis that plays out in only a quarter or two?

Doesn’t really matter, you’ll be asked what you think will happen in the next few quarters but without pod infrastructure it’s hard to expect someone to pitch around an EPS beat/miss of +- 10-20%

In my portfolio, we have both very high convictions lines (that corresponds with your investment horizon of 3-4 quarters) and catalyst-driven ideas/funding shorts/positionning driven...

Your ideas could definetely fit in the first category. Now, make sure you know your pitch inside out and back your thesis with data (not your only opinion).

trading quarters seems so boring - can't you pitch a longer duration long short pair (2-4 years).
