Anyone have a list? Looked around but the lists were all 10+ years old. Looking for those, say, >$5B AUM. Including firms that have satellite offices in SF / Bay. Thanks in advance.

They focus on public distressed securities and can hold onto illiquid securities through restructuring processes (e.g., they’re a Rite Aid bondholder). FS is once of the few scaled distressed / SS players still investing in public distressed credit along with Silver Pount, as many other shops wound down during the zero interest rate period, switched to do performing credit / CLO or switched to do private opportunistic / SS lending.

Maybe $2-3b but still a great place to work. Viking and Maverick also have SF teams. Perhaps the other tiger cubs do too.
